Employer engineered and implemented a local exhaust system for the portable saws used by employees to cut reglets in the exterior walls of the concrete building and limited cutting time to 4 hours/day. Description: The photo shows two employees (wearing respirators) working from a man-lift. One of the employees is using a side-grinder saw to cut reglets (slits) in the exterior of a concrete building, while the other one is spraying water on the saw blade to reduce the level of airborne dust. Both employees were overexposed to silica. |
